Metrogel 1% is a commonly prescribed topical gel that is specifically for the treatment of rosacea. Ingredients

Metro Gel is primarily aimed at Rosacea symptoms in severe cases and has produced good results in many of these. However there is a risk of a few side effects especially to those with sensitive skin, which can aggravate the problem it was meant to heal. This was pricey to say the least. My Doctor prescribed this to me as he said over the counter solutions don’t really work. And neither did this:( Ok it did work a little but for that price I expected a lot more. Time to try one of these “non working” over the counter / web treatments.
For me this worked great, I had severe rosacea on my chin and now it’s nearly gone. I also changed my diet a little as I noticed some foods seemed to make my chin become swollen. Maybe I just had an allergy, and it wasn’t rosacea, who knows, but I’m happy!!!
It was ok, it didn’t live up to my expectations. Need something else that works and doesn’t cost so much.

I suffered severely from Rosacea with lumps that became infected. Neither did prescription oral medicines nor other non-prescription rosacea creams work. Finally my doctor prescribed me with Metro Gel which thank G. has taken away the infection and lumps and the inflammation is at last subsiding – what a relief. I still have redness but compared to what I was suffering from this is just a fly in the ointment; I think that expression is correct?
